Youth Pastor Louis Kiang was born and raised in Fresno, California. He obtained a BA in English Literature and Writing at UCSD and a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary San Diego. He is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary in the area of Youth, Family & Culture. He joined the staff at HECSD in June 2013 and was ordained by the EFCGA in August 2017. He and his amazing wife Mimi have been married since 2011 and have two beautiful daughters; Nuelle and Onora. Louis is passionate about God, enjoys hanging out with people (especially youth), building biblical community, reaching the lost, playing games, sports, traveling, eating good food and drinking tea. He has a youthful heart and likes to laugh. He also has a desire to ignite an authentic passion for Jesus in the next generation and would be delighted to meet you.
Pastor Xin was born in 1952 in ShaanXi, China. He studied history at Xi Bei University in 1977 and received a Masters in history at Beijing Normal University. In 1989, he visited the U.S. as visiting-scholar-turned-student, and prepared for a doctorate in cultural anthropology. Pastor Xin received Christ and got baptized on Easter Sunday, 1990. At the end of 2002, he left the company he started to study at the Columbia Theological Seminary, where he received his Master’s in Theology and Pastoral Counseling. Following his program, Pastor Xin started serving at a church in Sacramento in 2006 and later became the Senior Pastor from 2009-2016, when he and his wife moved back to China for mission work. While in China, Pastor Xin was responsible for teaching and enrollment at multiple seminaries, established student fellowships and churches in two cities, and trained ministers serving rural house churches. They returned to the U.S. in 2016 to serve a church in Georgia, and joined Harvest as the Chinese ministry pastor in November 2018.
